ST. PAUL – State Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston, issued the following statement Monday regarding the recent passing of Whit Earth Nation Chairman Terry Tibbetts.
“I had the opportunity to work with Chairman Tibbetts on numerous issues concerning White Earth,” Green said. “There was no doubting his commitment to serving people. A true leader, Chairman Tibbetts had the ability to portray strength through his simple presence. Even in times of turmoil, he conveyed himself with dignity and class, speaking with conviction. He was a man whose word was trusted and he spoke honestly, even when the truth wasn’t convenient or popular. The White Earth Nation has suffered a great loss and I will miss Chairman Tibbetts. My prayers are with his family.”
