Legislative Update (Jan. 9, 2015)

Friday, January 9, 2015

Neighbors,

I’m humbled to be back to the Capitol for a second term in the Minnesota House of Representatives. It is an honor to be able to represent your voice in Saint Paul.

On Thursday, the first five bills of the legislative session were introduced. They reflect our priorities in the Republican majority: growing jobs, giving your children and grandchildren a world-class education, protecting the quality of life for our seniors, focusing transportation dollars on roads and bridges, and ensuring fair access and affordability in health care. We are committed to serving you and making Minnesota a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

This session, I will be serving on the Capital Investment, Government Operations and Elections Policy, Health and Human Services Reform, Rules and Legislative Administration, State Government Finance, and Ways and Means committees, where I will serve as Vice Chair. I am excited to take on a new leadership role and promote policies that will help to improve the lives of all Minnesotans.

As always, please feel free to stop by the Capitol or email me to discuss your thoughts or concerns on any legislation that comes before me in committee or in session. You can call my Legislative Assistant at (651) 296-9183 to schedule an appointment, or email me at rep.tony.albright@house.mn.

I’m looking forward to meeting with many of you in the coming months.

Rep. Tony Albright
