SAINT PAUL, MN – House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt, R-Crown, reappointed Rep. Tony Albright, R-Prior Lake, as the House GOP caucus liaison to the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council (WCAC) for the 2021-2022 biennium on Monday. The WCAC “addresses issues and recommends legislation pertaining to workers’ compensation.” Membership consists of businesses representatives, organized labor representatives, and legislative liaisons.
“I am honored to continue serving on the Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council,” said Rep. Albright. “The WCAC plays an important role in changing our worker’s compensation laws. I look forward to collaborating with business and labor leaders in order to support our great Minnesota workers.”
The Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council advises the Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner “about matters of workers’ compensation and submits its recommendations for proposed changes to the workers’ compensation statutes to the proper legislative committees. The WCAC’s recommendations must by supported by a majority of businesses and labor members.”
