Moran: Saint Paul College Bonding Project a Win-Win for Minnesota's Economy

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

ST. PAUL, MN – Today, members of the Minnesota House of Representatives Capital Investment Committee are visiting St. Paul to review projects under consideration for a bonding bill that will be introduced during the 2014 legislative session.

The projects are designed to create jobs and improve roads, schools, and other infrastructure in local communities.

Today’s tour includes a stop in Rep. Rena Moran’s district to review potential renovations and improvements to Saint Paul College.

“This bonding project is a win-win for our economy,” said Rep. Moran (DFL – St. Paul). “It puts people to work in the short term and strengthens learning opportunities for our students over the long term. Making sure Minnesotans have access to a great education is an important way we can reduce poverty and put people back to work so they can provide for themselves and their families.”

Rep. Moran encourages her constituents to contact her with feedback about potential bonding bill projects. She can be reached by phone at (651) 296-5158, by email at rep.rena.moran@house.mn, or by postal mail at 413 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155.

The 2014 legislative session kicks off next year on February 25.
