Capitol Update from Rep. Deb Kiel

Friday, March 22, 2019

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Here is an update with the latest news from St. Paul.

Bill Hearing

I had a hearing this week for HF 2123, a bill that would appropriate $15 million over fiscal years 2020 and 2021 to incentivize innovation in soybean processing through the Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation Program. I look forward to continuing to support this initiative as it moves through the committee process!

Constituent Visits

Rep. Fabian and I met with a group from several different co-ops
Holly Larson, an East Grand Forks school counselor came to visit
I met with a group from Polk County Public Health

Correction

In last week’s update, I said that Noah Hanson was a dental student – he is in fact a chiropractic student. Thanks again for visiting, Noah!

It’s an honor and privilege to work for you at the Capitol. Don’t hesitate to contact my office at any time this session to share your thoughts, concerns or ideas. I am here to serve you!

Sincerely,

Deb
