News from Representative Gruenhagen 05-22-2014

Thursday, May 22, 2014

Dear Friends,

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. Millions of families across the country will take the three-day weekend to visit family, and enjoy an extra day off from work. I hope you'll consider taking time this weekend to remember those veterans who have died defending our freedom overseas and here at home.

Towns across the state will hold Memorial Day ceremonies, parades, and other events, so be sure to check your local paper if you're interested in attending an event. It's because of our military, veterans, and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice that we enjoy the freedoms we have in this country today, and we owe them an eternal debt of gratitude. This is also a good opportunity to thank a veteran for their service to our country. If you have a friend or family member who is a veteran, a simple greeting of thanks can mean a lot.
