Legislative Update from Rep. Glenn Gruenhagen

Thursday, December 19, 2019

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

For years, I have shared information meant to expose the lies told to the American people and the world regarding climate change. I believe strongly in caring for our environment and ensuring that our rich natural resources are preserved for generations to come. As policymakers, we should focus on common-sense legislation that protects the environment without hamstringing our state, national, and global economies.

Sadly, climate change alarmists and many tax-subsidized scientists’ solutions to preserving the environment would require a radical restructuring of our economy and way of life. Ideas like the “Green (Greed) New Deal” would remake the U.S. economy costing trillions of dollars. Supporters hope to eliminate all U.S. carbon emissions, which is virtually impossible to achieve.

A recent article from The Daily Signal revealed some of the ways climate scientists are manipulating data to push their agenda. For instance, climate change advocates often cite an increase in forest fires as a sure indicator of climate change. However, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service, forest fires reached their peak in the 1930s and have declined by 80% since then.

Please read this article and watch the short video which exposes the UN’s lies, deceit, and fraud while promoting the false crisis of global warming by clicking here.

Ultimately, many of the proposed changes to our economy intended to fight climate change will enrich the few at the expense of the many while doing little to nothing for the environment.

We can do better than that.

As always, I urge you to contact me if you have any legislative questions, concerns, or ideas. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-4229 or via email at rep.glenn.gruenhagen@house.mn
