I wanted to pass along best wishes from my family to yours for a safe and Happy Thanksgiving week. We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world, and it's my hope you will get to reflect on all you are thankful for this week surrounded by family and loved ones.
I wanted to alert you about a public meeting coming up at 2PM on Sunday, December 6th. at the McLeod County Historical Society in Hutchinson (380 School Road N.W.). The subject of the meeting is Capitol artwork and what should be done with existing artwork and what the plan should be for art in the Capitol when it reopens in 2017.
Some feel that selected pieces are controversial, and should be removed. I encourage you to make your voice heard in this process, and give your feedback on what you'd like to see at the Capitol—the people's house.
