Dear Friends,
I wanted to wish you and your families a very Happy Easter. My favorite Bible verse to reflect on during the Easter season is John 3:16:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Isn’t it humbling to think about how great God’s love is for us? Amidst these crazy and uncertain times, I find comfort in knowing that Jesus died on the cross in order to save us. No matter what may happen, we are saved because of His sacrifice.
Like many of you, faith and family guide my life. I felt immense sadness on Easter Sunday last year when we were unable to attend church. For many, it was the first Easter service they have ever missed. This year the holiday brings so much joy and hope for a better 2021. While our churches are still only half full, Christ’s resurrection brings us comfort and peace knowing that we will soon be able to gather as one to sing “Hallelujah, He is risen!”
