RELEASE: Franson Takes Oath of Office

ST. PAUL, MN – Mary Franson (R-Alexandria) took the oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday, January 3, 2017 during the swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol.

Franson was elected to her fourth term in November to represent District 8B, which encompasses portions of Douglas and Otter Tail counties. Franson is serving on the Commerce & Regulatory Reform, Health & Human Services Finance, and Health & Human Services Reform committees. Franson is also the Chair of the Subcommittee on Child Care Access & Affordability.  

“This is not a job I take lightly and know that it's because of the Grace of God I am where I am today, said Franson “Also, without your prayers, encouragement, and support today would not be possible. I'm so honored to be sworn in to serve in the 90th Legislative Session. I look forward to tackling some tough issues that affect not only District 8B, but the entire State of Minnesota.”

“It's a true honor to represent you, said Franson. “I truly do represent THE BEST!”

Franson is a former licensed childcare provider. She lives with her family in Alexandria.
