I want to thank everyone who came out to last night's Town Hall meeting with Senator Benson. It was great to hear from so many of you, and I appreciate you taking time out of your busy lives to share your thoughts with us.
Veterans Day
Monday, November 11th is Veterans Day. I encourage you to take a moment on Monday and thank a veteran. Whether it's a family member, friend, or someone you encounter out in public, a simple greeting of thanks can mean a lot to our servicemen and women who have fought defending the freedoms and liberties we enjoy here in Minnesota and across the country.
There are over 380,000 veterans past and present here in Minnesota. We owe them and their families a debt of gratitude. I want to let you know specifically about an organization called Beyond the Yellow Ribbon that operates and does great work here in Isanti County. Their organization supports veterans and their families in a variety of ways by providing and coordinating resources available in our area.
