ST. PAUL, MN—House Minority Leader Kurt Daudt, R-Crown, issued the following statement regarding this morning's announcement that Rep. Nick Zerwas, R-Elk River, will resign from the legislature.
"Rep. Zerwas has a list of accomplishments that have made Minnesota a better place, and whose impact will live on long after he departs the legislature. From the Right-to-Try Act that earned him national recognition and a visit to the White House, to his bipartisan work to reform solitary confinement laws, he has earned respect on both sides of the aisle, and we will miss his humor and wit. I know this was a difficult choice, but he’s making the best decision for him and his family and we wish him nothing but the best as he moves on to the next chapter.”
Leader Daudt has served alongside Rep. Zerwas since Zerwas was first elected in 2012.
