Happy Veterans Day

Dear neighbor,

Today we recognize the service and sacrifice of those who have served our nation in uniform. I’m inspired by these brave men and women who risked their lives to keep our freedoms, our liberties, and our families safe.

The bravery and courage of our veterans serves as a reminder to us that freedom is not free. As President Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

From the bottom of my heart, thank you veterans for your heroic service to your country.
