RELEASE: Peggy Scott Sworn-In to Eighth Term as State Representative

Tuesday, January 3, 2023

SAINT PAUL, MN – Representative Peggy Scott, R-Andover, took the oath of office to being her eighth term Tuesday at the beginning of the 2023 legislative session. Scott will represent the new District 31B which includes Athens and Linwood townships, East Bethel, and portions of Andover, Ham Lake and Oak Grove.

Prior to the start of session, Scott was elected to serve as Assistant Minority Leader. She was also appointed the Republican lead on the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. Her other committee assignments include the Higher Education Finance & Policy and the Ways & Means Committees.

“I am honored to return to St. Paul as the representative of District 31B,” said Scott. “As the Republican lead once again on the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee, I look forward to working with our public safety team to ensure criminals are held accountable for their actions. We also need to work this session to return our state’s $17.6 billion surplus to Minnesotans. I am hopeful that we can work together to provide tax relief for all Minnesotans, including ending the tax on social security.”

Constituents can contact Scott at 651-296-4231 or by email at rep.peggy.scott@house.mn.gov. Her office is located on the third floor of the State Office Building in room 335. Mail can be sent to:
