ST. PAUL, MN— On Tuesday, Representative Peggy Scott, R-Andover, was appointed to the Legislative Commission on Data Practices. Rep. Scott is one of four appointees from the Minnesota House of Representatives.

“As a data privacy advocate, I’m honored by this appointment, and look forward to ensuring Minnesotans private data is protected by our state,” said Scott.

The commission is made up of a bipartisan group of legislators from the House and Senate with a goal “to study issues relating to government data practices and individuals' personal data privacy rights and to review legislation impacting data practices, data security, and personal data privacy.”
