ST. PAUL – State Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, received an honorary Future Farmers of America degree during the organization's annual state convention, conducted April 26-28 at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.
Anderson, a farmer by trade who currently chairs the House Agriculture Policy Committee, was one of eight to receive the award during the FFA's annual awards program. This year's event was attended by approximately 3,000 students, educators, agriculture experts, FFA officials, legislators and more.
"I was extremely honored to receive this award from FFA," Anderson said. "Agriculture has been a big part of my life since childhood and I really enjoy meeting with FFA students when groups of them come to the Capitol each legislative session. It was nice to see such strong attendance at this year's event and to see enthusiasm for the future of agriculture in our state."
