Dear Neighbor,
It's nice to see gas prices have dropped to near $3 per gallon, but please be aware when you fill up your tank.
Today, I pulled up to a station which showed $3.08 per gallon for 87 octane. I often choose to pay a few cents more for the 89-octane grade, but was shocked to find out it was now priced 28 cents higher per gallon.
I wondered whether it were a mistake, but the attendant told me that it was, in fact, the correct price. That was astounding to me and I would have gone with the 87 had I noticed that steep change in price prior to filling my tank.
Have a good weekend, be safe on the roads ... and pay attention at the pumps.
Sincerely,
Paul
