Dear Neighbor,
It has been nice getting out to talk with so many local citizens at area events. Last week, I attended parades in Forada, Albany and Greenwald. I also visited the Stearns County Fair and attended the 4H livestock auction.
This week will be busy again, with parades in Garfield and Belgrade on Saturday. I also will be at the Pope County Fair in Glenwood. Hope to see you out and about!
I look forward to meeting with the members of the Minnesota Milk Producers Association Tuesday in Alexandria. Agriculture is a huge component in our state’s economy, especially in our area. It will be interesting to share thoughts regarding the state of the milk industry and discuss issues. Maybe I’ll relay some of that information in an upcoming letter.
On a related note, Farmfest is this Tuesday through Thursday near Redwood Falls. Click here to see an article with more information on what is in store for this year’s event. Apparently, planners are looking to make it the biggest-ever Farmfest.
