ST. PAUL – Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, recognizes Minnewaska graduate Ashley Anderson for having earned a $500 scholarship from the Minnesota Agricultural Education Leadership Council.
Ashley Anderson currently attends Ridgewater College in Willmar and, after graduating this spring, plans to continue her agriculture education at Southwest Minnesota State University. The MAELC scholarship will help her further her studies at that school.
“I am pleased to see young people such as Ashley show an interest in agriculture and it is good that programs are in place to help support her in her studies,” Rep. Anderson said. “MAELC indicates it has awarded more than $620,000 in scholarships the last 19 years to support the cause as we look to bring along the next generations of agriculture workers and protect this very important industry.”
Ashley Anderson is the daughter of Mike and Lori Anderson of Glenwood.
