ST. PAUL – State Rep. Paul Anderson, R-Starbuck, has accepted positions on three additional House committees for the upcoming biennium, following his recent appointment to continue serving as chairman of the Agriculture Policy Committee.

Anderson, entering his fifth term in the House, also will serve Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance; Property Tax and Local Government Finance; and Agriculture Finance committees.

“I am pleased to again be serving on both of the House committees related to agriculture,” Anderson said. “The ag. industry is a crucial component to our area’s economy and life in general. As a lifelong farmer, I am able to bring important perspective to these committees that represents the people of District 12B. And, it goes without saying, property taxes and jobs are subjects on the minds of people in our area as well and I look forward to making improvements in those areas.”

Anderson will begin his new committee assignments when the Legislature convenes Jan. 3 in St. Paul.
