Wednesday, January 7, 2015

St. Paul, MN— Representative Bob Dettmer (R-Forest Lake) was officially sworn in as a state representative on Tuesday, January 6, in St. Paul after taking the oath of office administered by Chief Justice Lori Gildea. This will be his fifth term.

“Being elected by the hardworking people of District 39A is a privilege, and I will do my utmost to support and pass legislation that benefits them over the next two years,” said Dettmer. “Furthermore, with a new Republican majority in the House, I know that there will be a greater emphasis on spending your hard earned tax dollars wisely and prioritizing what’s really important like education, veterans, economic development and transportation.”

Dettmer’s committee assignments include Education Finance, Ways and Means, State Government Finance and the Veterans Division, where he will serve as Chair.
