BOB DETTMER SWORN IN TO FOURTH TERM AS STATE REPRESENTATIVE

St. Paul – Minnesota’s 88th legislature officially began January 8th with Republican Bob Dettmer (HD 39A) joining 133 colleagues in the newly elected House of Representatives. Rep. Dettmer was first elected to the House in 2006 and is now serving his fourth term.

Dettmer will serve on the Capital Investment and Ways and Means Committees and is the Republican lead on the State Government Finance and Veterans Affairs Committee.  District 39A was newly created to include the cities of Forest Lake, Stillwater, Scandia and the communities of Shafer, Franconia Township, Marine on St. Croix, May Township and Stillwater Township.

Dettmer is a retired teacher and coach from Forest Lake as well as a retired 25 year U.S. Army Reserve veteran. He is also the Chair of the Military Action Group, a committee of lawmakers, affiliates and veteran group representatives that meet regularly during the legislative session. Additionally, Dettmer is Co-Chair of the Child Hood Obesity Working Group.
