Legislative Update from Rep. Bob Dettmer

Friday, February 23, 2018

Dear Friends,

Here is an update with the latest news from the Capitol.

2018 Session

The 2018 legislative session kicked off on Tuesday, and I expect a busy and fast-paced session. Key issues we will be tackling this session include federal tax conformity to ensure Minnesotans can take full advantage of federal and state tax relief, education reforms, addressing MNLARS, and much more.

Additionally, as Chair of the Veterans Affairs Committee, I am also dedicated to continue advocating for the needs and priorities of our veterans and their families this session.

Throughout the session, if you have concerns, ideas or comments about legislation moving through the Legislature, please don’t hesitate to contact my office to talk or set up an appointment. I can be reached by email at rep.bob.dettmer@house.mn or by phone at 651-296-4124.

It is an honor and privilege to work for you at the Capitol!

Veterans Day on the Hill

Don’t forget that on March 12, Minnesota veterans are having their day at the Capitol. I will be speaking during the rally in the rotunda which starts at 10 AM.

I would encourage all of our veterans and those interested in veterans’ issues to come down to the Capitol and make your voice heard! You can find out more details here.

As always, thank you for the honor of being your state representative.  Please contact me with any questions or input you may have; I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Bob
