Dear Friends,
As we hit summer’s midway point, I wanted to let you know that House leadership has made positive progress in negotiating a special session with Senate DFL leadership and Governor Dayton.
As of now, is seems more likely than not that we will have a special session in the near future. It is my sincere hope that we can get both our bonding/transportation proposal and our tax bill passed and signed into law. For both bills, it would be the second time we pass them off the House floor, and we hope the DFL will abide by our original agreements, without Governor Dayton’s huge wish list of extra spending.
Attached is my session wrap up, with information about some reforms that were passed in 2015 and 2016, as well as details on the legislation I advocated for.
