St. Paul, MN- This week, Representative Sandra Masin joined over 90 legislators from 29 states in calling on the Biden Administration to halt the construction of the Line 3 pipeline in Northern Minnesota.
“President Biden has stated repeatedly how critical climate action is to his campaign, however the Line 3 pipeline is in direct opposition to those stated principles,” said Rep. Sandra Masin (DFL - Eagan.) “Line 3 is similar in size to the proposed Keystone XL pipeline and would carry the same heavy crude oil through the Midwest, threatening water quality and the treaty rights of Tribal nations, while adding the same amount of annual emissions to the atmosphere as 50 coal plants.”
