Rep. Rick Hansen Advocates for Funding for Cottage Grove Infrastructure Project with House Capital Investment Committee
SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Today, Representative Rick Hansen (DFL– South St. Paul) met with the House Capital Investment Committee during their 2023 Bonding Tour as they visited the Twin Cities Metro Area.
The committee is touring sites for proposed capital investment throughout the state and heard a presentation from Cottage Grove city staff on the County Rd 19 and 100th Street South realignment project. The project’s goal is to create an alternate connection to US Highway 61, reducing congestion at Jamaica Avenue and Highway 61.
Representative Rick Hansen released the following statement following the Capital Investment Committee’s tour:
“Last session, I was proud to secure billions of dollars in local investments for road and other infrastructure projects desperately needed for our communities. Continuing that work by realigning County Road 19 and 100th Street South will help all those who work, visit, and live in our district.
As a member of the Capital Investment Committee, I am committed to working on this project and more in the 2024 session.”
On October 25, Rep. Hansen hosted the Capital Investment committee in South St. Paul as they heard presentations on South St. Paul Public Works Facility, North and South Newport Infrastructure improvements, and the City of Inver Grove Heights proposal to address elevated radium levels in city water.
