CAPITOL GRAND OPENING - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

The Minnesota State Capitol Grand Opening Celebration is less than 30 days away! It is sure to be one of the biggest events of the summer-an invitation to all Minnesotans to rediscover their Minnesota Capitol. But we need volunteer help to ensure a successful event!

As you can see from the attached events calendar, the August 11-13 State Capitol Grand Opening will offer something for everyone: a ribbon cutting ceremony, fireworks, concerts, demonstrations by artisans, and behind the scenes tours. It will be a truly remarkable event that Minnesotans will be excited to attend. The event will be accessible, free, and family friendly.

To make the Grand Opening a fabulous experience befitting our Great State, we need a small army of volunteers. I am writing to enlist your help in a few ways:

  1. Sign up for a volunteer shift yourself.
  2. Get active on social media.
  3. Attend the events with your family and friends.

Volunteer shifts are just 2 hours long and there are a variety of opportunities throughout the weekend. Sign-up to volunteer by visiting http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090c4baaaa2ba1fb6-state. Volunteering will score you a free commemorative t-shirt to wear at the events and to keep as a moment to of this once in a lifetime celebration! We especially need help on Saturday and Sunday.

Additionally, we want to utilize every possible opportunity to inform Minnesotans about the Grand Opening. Please follow, share and retweet our Grand Opening messages. You can find us at:

Thank you for all that you will do to make this event memorable for Minnesotans.
