Rep. Joyce Peppin elected Minn. House Majority Leader

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Nov. 8, 2014)—State Rep. Joyce Peppin, R-Rogers, yesterday was elected majority leader of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Peppin was selected by the House Republican Caucus to serve alongside Speaker of the House-designate Kurt Daudt, R-Crown.

“I am honored that my colleagues and the people of Minnesota have entrusted me with this leadership position,” said Majority Leader Peppin. “Minnesotans spoke loudly when they voted this election season: They expect their elected officials to legislate fairly on behalf of all Minnesotans – urban, suburban, or rural – and do so in a fiscally responsible manner. I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work!”

Peppin and Daudt will be sworn in officially on January 6, 2015, when the next legislative session starts and the newly-elected Republican majority takes control of the Minnesota House. Peppin will be the second Republican woman in state history to serve in this leadership capacity.

Peppin encourages constituents to continue contacting her with questions and concerns regarding state government. She can be reached at rep.joyce.peppin@house.mn or 651-296-7806. Mail should be sent to Rep. Joyce Peppin, 281 State Office Building, 100 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155.
