North St. Paul Area Selected for Competitive Veteran’s Memorial Park Grant

Thursday, April 24, 2014
Dear Neighbors,

Yesterday, we learned that the City of North St. Paul was selected to receive a $9,900 Competitive Veteran’s Memorial Park Grant from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. This grant will go towards building the Veteran’s Memorial Park on the north side of Margaret Street and Hwy 36.

The North St. Paul Veteran’s Memorial Park will be a place for the public to honor and remember our veterans and their loved ones and to reflect on the veterans of the past, present and future. This memorial is a great way to show our appreciation and respect for their sacrifices and will serve as a living memory of those who have served our country.

This grant is great news for our community and Sen. Wiger and I are happy to see this project recognized and to move forward. As the years go on, we will continue to see more names added to the memorial to honor those members in our community who have served our country.

As always, please contact me with any questions, comments, or ideas. You can reach me by phone at (651) 296-1188 or by email at rep.leon.lillie@house.mn.

Sincerely,

Leon Lillie
