ST. PAUL – State Representative Dean Urdahl, R-Grove City, today announced funding increases for area schools that result from the 2005 legislative session.
According to the House Fiscal Analysis staff, local schools will see 4 percent basic formula increases in 2006 and 2007. Urdahl noted that the 4 percent does not count possible bonus funding from participating in the QComp teacher pay reform program.
“These numbers are large, meaningful and should help schools cope with the rising cost of education,” Urdahl said.
Local school per pupil increases are as follows:
District Total (2006/2007)
465 Litchfield $694 ($210/$484)
466 Dassel-Cokato $657 ($204/$453)
876 Annandale $688 ($215/$473)
2396 A.C.G.C. $806 ($268/$538)
463 Eden Valley-Watkins $708 ($215/$493)
2687 Howard Lake-Waverly-Montrose $657 ($211/$457)
