Input from local residents is my most valuable resource as I continue doing my best to represent the people of Meeker and Wright counties.
I always welcome correspondents from constituents via e-mails, phone calls and face-to-face conversations. I also routinely seek feedback in the form of surveys and a new one is now available online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/District18Bsurvey.
This is a great way for citizens of District 18B to let me know where they stand on the issues. We cover everything from erasing our state budget shortfall to spurring the economy and improving our health care system. There’s even a Vikings stadium question.
The timing of this survey is crucial since our key finance bills soon will be making their way to the House floor to be discussed and held to a vote. On a related note, the bill I am in charge of crafting as chair of the Legacy Fund Division is in the process of being assembled and I anticipate bringing it to the floor shortly after Easter.
We will be making some very difficult choices in St. Paul the next couple of months and it’s important for us to take on these challenges together, sharing information and ideas at the local level. I will do my best to keep you up to speed as things take shape and would appreciate your participation in my survey.
