ST. PAUL - State Rep. Dean Urdahl, R-Grove City, announced today the Cokato Historical Society has been awarded a grant from the Minnesota Historical Society.
The Cokato Historical Society will receive $294 for Phase II of a newspaper microfilm acquisition project.
Urdahl is a member of the Minnesota Heritage Finance Division Committee and his support is helpful to the MHS in providing these grants.
There was significant competition for limited grant funds since requests exceeded the total amount available. Funding will be provided for a total of 27 projects in the State Grants-in-Aid Program funded through the Society’s operating budget.
