TOMORROW: Virtual Town Hall w/ Sen. Marty and Rep. Lesch

Thursday, March 19, 2020

Dear Neighbors,

I hope this finds you well, and that you and your family are safe and healthy in this challenging time. The COVID-19 global pandemic is evolving quickly, and state leaders are working with public health officials to plan for and respond to the changing conditions.

Many community members have reached out to me with questions about our response at the State Capitol, and I invite you to join Sen. John Marty and me tomorrow afternoon for a Virtual Town Hall via Facebook Live to discuss what your legislators are working on. One example is legislation to ban price gouging and last night, KARE 11 highlighted my work to protect Minnesota consumers during this crisis. Come with your questions and we will answer as best we can - or we will get the answers for you.

WHAT: Virtual Town Hall

WHO: Senator John Marty and Representative John Lesch

WHEN: Friday, March 20 at 2 p.m.

WHERE: Rep. Lesch’s Facebook Page

Earlier this week I held a similar event with Dr. Kelly Searle, an epidemiologist at the U of M’s School of Public Health. Dr. Searle shared valuable information and if you missed it you can watch the replay here.

If you can’t join us live, please email me at rep.john.lesch@house.mn with your questions, or if I can be of assistance. There are resources available for workers and employers (including unemployment insurance), health, education and child care, food, and housing. Additionally, water shutoffs have been suspended in Saint Paul and the Mayor’s office is working with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s office to suspend evictions, too.

Please continue to exercise precautions such as frequent hand washing, social distancing, covering your cough with your sleeve, and staying home when you’re sick. With all of us doing our part, we will keep Minnesotans safe and healthy, and get beyond this crisis, together.

It’s an honor to represent you.

Sincerely,

John Lesch

State Representative
