Merry Christmas to you and your family and best wishes for a fruitful New Year.
In this season of giving, please remember to do your part to help out those who could use a helping hand. A column I submitted to the Press takes a closer look at the subject of charitable donations. The focus is on local charities, specifically how they connect people in our communities, raise and spend local dollars on local projects and help in short-term situations where people are in need.
Look for more news from the Capitol as we begin 2016 and approach the March 8 start to the next legislative session. For now, click here to a link which lists new laws that go into effect in January. One item of note requires drivers to provide proof of insurance in order to receive new license tabs. The objective is to reduce the number of uninsured motorists in our state.
