ST. PAUL – State Rep. Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, performed his 12th oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 91st Legislature was sworn in at the Capitol.
Nornes was re-elected to the House in November and represents District 8A in Otter Tail County. He has been selected as the lead Republican on the House Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, along with serving the Capital Investment and Education Finance divisions.
“It's a great honor to continue representing the people of District 8A in the House,” Nornes said. “Once again significant challenges present themselves as the new session begins, particularly issues related to Greater Minnesota as we look for ways to stabilize rural parts of our state for the long term. I look forward to participating in the process as we look for solutions and am interested to see how things play out with some new faces in key positions at the Capitol.”
Nornes said he encourages local citizens to in District 8A to contact his legislative office this session by calling (651) 296-4946 or by emailing email@example.com. Nornes also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at his official state website: www.house.mn/8a.
