ST. PAUL – State Rep. Bud Nornes, R-Fergus Falls, has accepted positions on three additional House panels for the upcoming biennium, following his recent appointment to continue serving as chairman of the Higher Education and Career Readiness Policy and Finance Committee.
Nornes, entering his 11th term in the House, also will serve Education Finance, Agriculture Policy, and Ways and Means for a second consecutive biennium.
“These committee assignments match my strengths as a legislator and will allow me to be working closely with issues that impact the people in District 8A,” Nornes said. “It is good to have continuity from one biennium to the next with these committee assignments since familiarity with the issues will allow me to hit the ground running. Significant challenges await the upcoming session and I look forward to taking them on.”
Nornes and fellow legislators will convene Jan. 3 in St. Paul.
