July special session update

Thursday, July 16, 2020

Rep. Marquart

Dear Neighbors,

I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy.

Here’s how you can stay in touch:

The Legislature is currently meeting in a second special session, with the latest developments set to be announced Monday, July 20. I remain hopeful that the House and Senate can reach an agreement that serves the people of Minnesota during these challenging and uncertain times.

This special session is a new opportunity to level the playing field for the mom and pop stores, the multi-generation family farmer, and the Minnesotans who work hard for a living and contribute to their local communities. Giving our economy a boost, investing in jobs and local projects, and preventing a spike in COVID-19 cases are priorities that Minnesotans of all backgrounds share. This Legislature achieves bipartisan compromise more often than not. There’s no reason we can’t deliver for Minnesotans again during this second special session.

It is an honor to represent you and your family and our community at our State Capitol. Minnesotans care about each other, and we want to see one another succeed. Thank you for everything you are doing to care for your neighbors and protect vulnerable people from COVID-19.

Sincerely,

Rep. Paul Marquart
