Dear Neighbors,
We’ve just wrapped up the second month of the legislative session. The Governor has announced his budget proposal, and both legislative bodies are holding frequent committee hearings on a wide variety of bills. Soon, we will be preparing our own budget proposals and we will be looking to do so in a community-centered way, delivering results reflecting what we all value such as great schools, affordable and accessible health care, and opportunities for every family to achieve economic security and prosperity.
As we enter this pivotal point of the legislative session, Senator Sandra Pappas and I invite you to attend a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday morning, March 9. We will meet at Villa del Sol, 88 Cesar Chavez St, from 10:00 a.m. – noon. Sen. Pappas and I will provide a brief update on the session’s status, and will take questions and listen to input from constituents.
