St. Paul, MN - The conference committee on the Jobs & Energy budget bill, HF 2208, will hold its first public hearing tomorrow, May 3, at 1pm, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. Agenda for the committee is to hear testimony on the Paid Family & Medical Leave and Earn Sick & Safe Time provisions of the bill, as well as Wage Theft Prevention and Enforcement.

The House DFL Jobs budget prioritizes and invests in Minnesota's working families, protecting wages and ensuring that Minnesotans no longer have to choose between work and caring for their child, a family member, or themselves. Testifying on the budget will be Rep. Laurie Halverson, author of the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act, as well as Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Steve Grove, and Department of Labor and Industry Commissioner Nancy Leppink.
