MMB Revenue and Economic Update
Minnesota Management and Budget released the Revenue and Economic Update this week and revenues exceed the February 2021 forecast. You can read more here.
Child Tax Credit Checks Arriving
As part of the Child Tax Credit expansion, enacted in the American Rescue Plan, low-income families will begin receiving monthly payments of $250-$350 for each child beginning today. If you’ve filed tax returns for 2019 or 2020, or if you signed up to receive a stimulus check from the Internal Revenue Service, you will get this tax relief automatically. You do not need to sign up or take any action.
COVID-19 Vaccination Update
The Minnesota Department of Health reports more than 3 million Minnesotans have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Although the pace of vaccination has slowed, it is still vitally important to get your vaccine to guard against the highly contagious Delta variant showing up in communities across the country and in Minnesota. We owe it to ourselves and our neighbors to protect each other from the virus.
