St. Paul, Minn. – Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives Housing Finance and Policy Committee heard presentations from affordable housing advocates, including the Homes for All Coalition, which is broadly supported across the state by more than 200 advocacy groups.
“Historic investments in housing have been made during recent legislative sessions, but we continue to see an increase in needs across the state. The COVID-19 pandemic has heightened the housing deficit in all corners of Minnesota and shined a light on its impact on public health. We will continue working with non-profits and others to secure state funding and leverage private dollars. Nothing goes right without a home and it is our responsibility to ensure everyone has a safe place to live.”
