Martin Luther King local events

On Monday, January 20, we remember the life and achievements of Dr. Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. I’m proud to honor the legacy of this influential civil rights leader, and the mark he left on not only our country but the world. In St. Paul, The Minnesota Historical Society is offering a day of music and celebration that is open to the public.

Area projects contained in Governor’s bonding bill

I am pleased to report several of our community projects have been included in Gov. Walz’s Local Jobs and Project Plan, which was released on Wednesday. The local projects include the International Institute, Gibbs Farm expansion, the Minnesota Oval in Roseville, the community park building in Falcon Heights, a Como Zoo request, and a badly needed new home for the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota.

I will advocate for our projects and for additional investments in higher education, transit and passenger rail to also be included in the House and Senate versions of the bill.

Brimhall Achievement Fair

I was honored to attend the Brimhall Achievement Fair this week to view the impressive display designed by the 3rd grade students who interviewed me about the duties of a state representative. I am pictured with the principal of Brimhall Elementary and both students.

Our future is bright!
