SAINT PAUL, MN – Governor Walz released his 2019 bonding recommendations today, asking the legislature for a $1.27 billion to help statewide communities fund critical infrastructure needs, including $150 million for housing.
Housing Finance & Policy Division chair, Rep. Alice Hausman (DFL-St. Paul), released the following statement:
“Across the state, there is a critical shortage of affordable housing and the governor’s budget helps to address this growing problem. I will work aggressively to implement the governor’s requests. Families and individuals cannot succeed without housing stability and it is time to address this crisis – not continue to push the problem into the future.”
