Rep. Hausman has been selected to receive NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Legislator of the Year Award.
According to NAMI, this award recognizes a legislator at the state or national level who has been a leader and outspoken advocate for people with mental illness and their families in the Minnesota Legislature or US Congress. The NAMI Board of Directors praised Rep. Hausman for consistently advocating for affordable and supportive housing, which they believe is a key step on the road to recovery.
The award will be presented on Saturday November 5, during the NAMI annual conference.
