ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Sondra Erickson, R-Princeton, issued the following statement congratulating the 2014 Farm
Families of the Year from District 15A. The Farm Family Recognition Program is coordinated by the University of Minnesota Extension; the College of Food, Agriculture, and Natural Resources Sciences; and the College of Veterinary Medicine, and recognizes families from Minnesota's 87 counties who have made significant contributions to Minnesota agriculture and their communities. The 2014 Farm Family Recognition Program will be held on Thursday, August 07th at Farmfest.
"I want to congratulate Dave, Tina, Sheila, and Jeremiah of Highway Herford's in Kanabec County, and the Blomer & Rapatz Family from Mille Lacs County on being recognized as Farm Families of the Year. It's wonderful to see your dedication and contributions to our community being recognized. Minnesota relies so much on the agriculture community for food, fuel, and employment, and we are grateful for the work that you and other farm families do day in and day out to help keep Minnesota's economy moving."
