St. Paul – Minnesota’s 2009 Legislative Session officially began January 6 with Greg Davids (R-Preston) and 133 other state representatives being sworn into office during a ceremony at the State Capitol.
“It is an honor to be elected by the people of District 31B,” Davids said. “We in the Legislature will have a lot to accomplish during this session, and I am anxious to get back to work.”
Most of Rep. Davids’ work during the first months of session will take place in House Committees. Davids said he was pleased with his recent committee assignments, as he will serve as the Republican Lead for the Cultural and Outdoor Resources Finance Division. Davids is also a member of the Commerce and Labor, Transportation, Taxes, and Ways and Means committees.
Davids has also moved into his new legislative office, which is Room 283 of the State Office Building adjacent to the Capitol. All state representatives are housed in this building.
“I hope my constituents will feel free to stop by my new office if they are visiting the area,” Davids said. “I also encourage anyone to contact me if they have questions or concerns.”
Davids can be reached by phone at (651) 296-9278. He can also be contacted via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or via U.S. Mail at 283 State Office Building, St. Paul, MN 55155.
