CARLSON APPOINTED TO KEY COMMISSIONS

ST. PAUL - House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher recently appointed Rep. Lyndon Carlson to key national and state legislative commissions. Nationally, Carlson will serve on the National Conference of State Legislatures Committee on Budgets and Revenue. The national panel is responsible for protecting states' interests in federal budget decisions. In Minnesota, Carlson was reappointed to the Legislative Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR), which makes environmental budgeting recommendations to the Legislature. As Chair of the House Finance Committee, Carlson will also sit on the Legislative Advisory Commission and the Legislative Commission on Planning and Fiscal Policy. "I'm honored that Speaker Kelliher trusts me to represent our state's interests both nationally and here at home," Carlson said. "I'm looking forward to having a hand in making policy that moves our state and country forward." -30-
