Monday, January 25, 2021

ST. PAUL, MN - State Representative Connie Bernardy (DFL – New Brighton) has been reappointed to the Legislative Audit Commission for the 2021 legislative session, following the appointment by House Speaker Melissa Hortman.

The Legislative Audit Commission (LAC) is a bipartisan commission with six members from the House of Representatives and six from the Senate, equally divided between the majority and minority parties. The commission appoints the Legislative Auditor and selects topics for the Program Evaluation Division to review. It also periodically holds hearings to review audit and evaluation reports.

"All Minnesotans deserve a responsive and efficient government,” said Rep. Bernardy. “Serving on this important commission, we work on a bipartisan level to be effective and good stewards of our state resources. If you have an audit suggestion, please contact me with your idea. Visit http://www.auditor.leg.state.mn.us to learn more about the commission.”

Rep. Bernardy encourages constituents to contact her with any questions, comments, or ideas on any legislative topic. Rep. Bernardy can be reached by phone at 651-296-5510 or by email at rep.connie.bernardy@house.mn. Sign up for her electronic legislative updates at www.house.mn/41a/.
