ST. PAUL –Representative Connie Bernardy (DFL- New Brighton) has introduced a bill that would provide the City of New Brighton the authority to operate and open a full-service driver licensing office. New Brighton City Hall, which is currently serving as a limited driver’s license agent, would add a full service license counter.
“Adding a full service location in our district where residents can renew their driver’s licenses and purchase their tabs and license plates, will help our community as well as reduce long wait times at surrounding DMVs,” said Rep. Bernardy.
The bill, HF 94, awaits a hearing on the Transportation and Regional Governance Policy Committee, of which Bernardy is the DFL-Leader.
