FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rep. Bernardy to Host Listening Sessions
SAINT PAUL, MN – State Representative Connie Bernardy is hosting two community Listening Sessions on Saturday, February 7th to bring together constituents and listen to their concerns and ideas for the legislative session.
Rep. Bernardy will be joined by Sen. Barb Goodwin and Rep. Carolyn Laine, who are partners with her in representing the communities of Senate District 41 at the legislature. The three elected officials have worked for more economic security for middle class families.
The listening sessions held in the community are an opportunity for residents to ask questions about the 2015 legislative session and share perspectives on what is most important to Fridley, New Brighton, and Spring Lake Park residents. Attendees will hear a brief overview. The majority of the meeting will be an opportunity to share comments and questions about the Legislature and bills in the House and Senate.
“Listening sessions are a great way to learn from residents in the community I grew up,” said Rep. Bernardy, “it’s so important for us to come together and build upon the work we’ve done over the last two years to continue to create opportunity, a stronger middle class, and strengthen schools.”
